AP Executive, Controlling (One Year Contract)

Main responsibilities

  • Handles suppliers’ invoices, as delegated by Manager, from resolving invoices discrepancies, performing 3-way matching, handling suppliers’ and internal customers’ queries
  • Arrange payments to suppliers in a timely manner and in compliance with withholding tax requirements, and internal control polices and procedures
  • Perform audit check on tolerance level for invoices matched to POs
  • Monthly reconciliation of suppliers’ statement of accounts, resolve and co-ordinate disputes resolution, and follow-up
  • Prepare periodic AP reports and audit schedules
  • Assist in financial and any other adhoc analysis
  • Review vendor creation/amendment on a daily basis and be in-charge of the annual Vendor Master Review
  • Assist with the calculation and preparation of GST/VAT and withholding tax filing on a periodic basis for 4 local and 2 foreign entities
  • Assist in system set-up and testing to automate withholding tax computation for 2 foreign entities
  • Assist month-end close in a timely and accurate manner (including preparation of monthly journal entries)
  • Provide coaching on AP related matters and system issues
  • Any ad hoc duties as assigned by the manager

Ideal candidate: qualifications and requirements

  • Possess a Diploma in Accountancy or other related discipline
  • At least 6 - 8 years relevant work experience in an MNC environment
  • Working knowledge of FRS, GST, VAT and withholding tax is a must
  • Strong computer skills and experience in computerized accounting/ERP systems an advantage
  • Prior experience in corporate headquarter and/or shared service centre will be an added advantage
  • Mature and strong team player with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable in handling high volume work in a face paced environment
  • Able to commence immediately or within short notice
