Christian Bonfils, Managing Director of BW Dry Cargo since 2016, has stepped down from his position at BW Group to establish and lead Copenhagen Commercial Platform (CCP) – a new, independent commercial and operation management platform for dry bulk shipowners. The company, established with the support of investments by BW Group and Weco Shipping, will provide effective solutions for dry bulk shipping by connecting owners and charterers on one, simple, and transparent platform.
CCP is focused on demonstrating each vessel’s environmental metrics, thereby helping owners improve their carbon footprint and charterers with finding environmentally friendly vessels. The vessels it manages are vetted for and rated by efficiency and emissions metrics.
BW Dry Cargo’s vessels will continue to be managed by Christian and his team, through CCP.
