BW Shipping Philippines Inc. President and General Manager Kharvic June Sitchon, was honoured to meet and speak with Department of Energy Secretary Raphael P.M. Lotilla. Our Head of Fleet Management, Helge Drange, proudly shared more about BW’s long history with the Philippines and our ongoing collaborations.
Since BW Group established BW Shipping Philippines over 35 years ago, we now employ around 4,000 Filipino seafarers and 100 shore-based employees, and recently inaugurated our new BW Maritime ROHQ in downtown Makati. As a longstanding partner of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (Norges Rederiforbund)’ Cadet Programme, BW is proud to shape the next generation of Filipino maritime professionals, many of whom serve as officers onboard our fleet at BW LNG.
As a leading owner and operator of LNG infrastructure, BW LNG is also honoured support the country’s energy resilience with BW Batangas, our Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU), currently serving her five-year charter at the First Gen Corporation Clean Energy Complex.
