4 June 2025, NORWAY – BW LNG is proud to announce that BW LNG CEO Yngvil Åsheim was honoured with the WISTA Norway Leadership Award 2025 on 3 June 2025, in recognition of her longstanding commitment in advancing greater diversity and inclusion in the maritime industry. This year marks the 19th edition of the award.
As one of the few female CEOs in the global maritime industry, Yngvil sets a powerful example driving diversity. With a strong technical background and a leadership approach centred on empowering others, she is dedicated to creating supportive workplaces where all employees are given the opportunity to thrive. Her decade-long tenure at BW LNG has been marked by a consistent focus in championing inclusive policies for greater female representation, cultivating a positive culture for diverse perspectives, and sponsorship of cadet programmes for talent development.
