This 18 May, BW LNG joins the global maritime community in celebrating the International Day for Women in Maritime. We proudly support this year’s theme: “From Policy to Practice: Advancing Gender Equality for Maritime Excellence”, aligning with the World Maritime Day theme “From Policy to Practice: Powering Maritime Excellence.”
Creating a more inclusive maritime industry comes down to what we do every day, including how we hire, develop and support our people. At BW LNG, this means opening pathways for women from sea to shore, and ensuring opportunities to grow, lead and contribute across our global organisation. In line with this commitment, we introduced our industry-leading BW Fleet Management Maternity Leave Policy in 2023, offering female seafarers six months’ paid maternity leave alongside enhanced medical coverage.
