Hafnia recently held one of its two bi-annual Hafnia fleet Crew conferences in Manila, The Philippines.
Approximately 125 Shore and at Sea staff from Hafnia gathered in Manila, The Philippines between the 9th -12th of May for the Manila Hafnia Senior Officers Conference. For the first time, Hafnia also hosted a Junior Officers and Ratings Conference over one day on the 11th. The conference was attended by over 10 nationalities which is the highest number of nationalities to ever attend a Hafnia Crew Conference. The conference theme focused on collaboration and working together as one team.
Over the conference days, delegates received presentations across various topics which included: The Hafnia vision, purpose and values, Business updates Anti-bribery, Media & Crisis Management, Zero-Harm, Operations, Corrosion Control, Catering, SIRE 2.0, Marine Performance, Technical Performance, Security and Crewing. The interactive sessions enabled seafaring and onshore staff to interact and learn from one another creating mutual value for the team who often communicate via digital means vs. in person. The Crew conference further consists of team building exercises and social activities.
A Gala dinner took place on the 10th of May where Chief Engineer Ravi Logu received the Long-Standing service award following his completion of 25 years sailing with BW and Hafnia.
Hafnia crew conferences are held on regular intervals in various locations around the globe. The aim of these conferences is to gather seafaring and onshore teams to promote a platform for team building, and also provide participants with training and developments aboard vessels and within the company.
