BW LNG, BW LPG and Hafnia were proud to celebrate our dedicated seafarers at our BW Family Day in the Philippines! Held on 8 and 9 November 2024 in Manila and Cebu respectively, over 190 seafarers and their families joined us for a fun-filled day.
With exciting activities for all ages, including a singing contest, ‘Stop Dance’, and a riveting performance by our cadets from the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (Norges Rederiforbund) Cadet Program! The photobooth and caricature booths were a big hit, along with the food, with delicious local delicacies like lechon. With Christmas around the corner, our leadership team – Helge Drange (Head of Fleet Management, BW LNG), Rajesh Divakaran (Head of Crewing Services, BW Group), Thomas Torgersen (Head of Crewing, BW LPG), and Kharvic June Sitchon (President & General Manager, BW Shipping Philippines Inc.) – were thrilled to play Santa, giving out presents to the children.
We also took the opportunity to honour our long-serving crew members with Long Service Awards. As a token of our appreciation, all crew members and their families received event souvenirs, including tumblers, bull caps, and bag tags, to commemorate this special day.
At BW, we value how our seafarers tirelessly carry out our mission of delivering energy around the world. We are glad for this wonderful year together and look forward to making even more memories next year!
