BW LNG was honoured to be represented at the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Rio de Janeiro, which brings together world leaders of the 19 member countries annually, as a key player in the Brazil-Norway relationship. Together with our sister affiliate BW Offshore, Carolina von Lachmann, Regional Head of Americas at BW LNG, had the privilege of meeting with distinguished leaders such as Mr. Jonas Gahr Støre, Prime Minister of Norway, and Mrs. Marina Silva, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Brazil.
At the event, Prime Minister Støre highlighted the deep connection between Brazil and Norway, emphasising the ocean as a vital link. He also stressed our shared commitment to the Blue Economy, from the Norwegian cod now a staple in Brazilian cuisine to the importance of decarbonising our oceans.
