Daniel O’Connor joined BW Group in 2025 as the Chief People Officer and a member of the Executive Committee. He is responsible for BW’s people and culture strategy, leadership development and talent management aligned with long-term business goals.
His scope also includes employee experience, succession planning, organisational effectiveness, HR operations and group communications.
Prior to joining BW, O’Connor was the Chief People Officer at ALBA Group Asia, where he led the HR, IT, and Internal Communications functions, driving key talent pipelining, cultural transformation, and performance development initiatives within the recycling industry.
O’Connor started his career in 2005 at Rolls-Royce on an accelerated Leadership Development Programme, with HR and general management roles in the aerospace and maritime sectors across UK, Singapore, and Norway. He also held senior HR leadership and Board Director positions at Rochdale Spears and Southco in Asia.
O’Connor graduated with first-class honours in Business Management from Nottingham Trent University and holds a Diploma in Company Direction from the Hong Kong Institute of Directors. He is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development, a Certified Human Development Professional, and a Transformational Coach.
