Mr Thomas Thune Andersen is the Chairman of Lloyd’s Register Group and Lloyd’s Register Foundation. He is a board member of IMI, Cadeler, and Lambert Energy Advisory.
Mr Andersen was the Chairman of the board of Ørsted A/S (2014-2024) and VKR Holding A/S (2010-2025), and a board member of Green Hydrogen Systems (2020-2022). He has more than 35 years’ experience in the shipping and oil industry, starting in the A.P. Møller-Mærsk Group, where he held various positions, including Chief Executive Officer of Mærsk Oil.
A special focus over the past years has been The Energy Transition and sustainability towards a carbon free future. He was a Member of the Board of BW Offshore from 2016 until May 2019, when he assumed his role as a member of the BW Group Board.
Further to his board portfolio, Mr Andersen is a member of Friends of Ocean Action community and a Commissioner in the Energy Transitions Commission. He is also a member of the Danish Committee for Good Corporate Governance.
Mr Andersen has attended Advanced Executive Programme, Economics at Harvard University and Senior Management Programme at Columbia University and holds a Graduate Diploma in Foreign Relations (HD) from Copenhagen Business School.
