Hafnia was pleased to participate in The Diversity Study Group’s (DSG) Annual Conference 2023, held in London, United Kingdom, from October 15 to 16.
Mia Krogslund Jørgensen, Head of People, Culture, and Strategy, represented Hafnia during the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategy session, which was moderated by Heidi Heseltine, the Founder of the DSG. The session featured panelists from the Global Maritime Forum and Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement. Mia engaged in discussions on the significance of strategy in fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Shipping and Maritime industry. Topics covered included the challenges inherent in implementing DEI strategies, the integration of DEI programs with overall business strategy, the advantages of adopting a more strategic approach to DEI and its associated processes, and suggestions for the sector to enhance its embrace of a strategic perspective.
The DSG stands as the pioneering organization dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in workplaces throughout the global shipping and maritime sectors—an association of which Hafnia proudly holds a full membership.
