28 May 2024 – BW LNG hosted the annual Norway Officers’ Conference at BW Powerhouse Oslo, from 27 May – 28 May 2024. The two-day conference was attended by 25 BW LNG officers. It aimed to foster greater sea-shore connections and honour BW LNG’s dedicated seafarers for their years of service.
The conference saw discussions on key topics including Zero Harm, technical, marine, operations and crewing. Long Service Award winners were also celebrated at a special gala dinner, where Chief Officer Oluwatoyin Oluwaseun Olu-Odanye and Chief Engineer Steinar Mokkelbost were recognized for their 15 and 30 years of service respectively. The conference wrapped up with a tour of BW Powerhouse Oslo.
These conferences are held annually in Lagos, Manila, Mumbai, and Norway, as an important way of fostering close sea-shore collaborations.
