Six BW LNG cadets from the 30th batch of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (NSA) Cadet Program visited our FSRU vessel BW Batangas for a day tour on 27 July 2024, marking the first time NSA cadets have had the opportunity to board a vessel before their official shipboard training.
The cadets were welcomed warmly by the crew, and took part in the vessel’s weekly meeting to gain insights into how onboard activities are planned safely and efficiently. They toured the bridge, deck, and cargo systems, enjoyed a meal in the officers’ messroom, and even had some fun downtime in the recreation room, where they played billiards.
After the visit, the NSA cadets shared that the experiences have greatly strengthened their passion for their studies, and motivated them for their future with BW LNG as maritime officers.
Thank you to our officers and crew for giving our cadets a memorable first experience aboard a BW vessel. We hope to host more NSA cadets on our vessels in the future, and continue supporting their maritime journeys.
