Bogdan Dinu

Director of Corporate Development

Bogdan has over 10 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, focusing on the development, construction, and operations of commercial and utility-scale solar portfolios in North America.

Prior to BW Solar, Bogdan worked at several Canadian renewable development firms, helping mature the businesses and establish their international footprints through acquisitions and greenfield development. Most recently, Bogdan led Origination and Project Development for Saturn Power in the New York State market, building a portfolio of +150 MW of early and mid-stage CDG projects as part of the NYSERDA NY-SUN Program.

Bogdan holds an HBSc. in Economics and Psychology from the University of Toronto.

David Gower

Solar Project Originator

David thrives on helping pave the way for future clean energy technologies and projects. He has over 10 years of experience in renewable policy, project design & development, siting & land acquisition, community engagement, product certification and creating strategies to overcome barriers that exist between concept, goal and realised the potential of renewable energy.

Prior to joining BW Solar, David wrote the business plan and led the development of a project that resulted in a $4.3 million grant from NYSERDA to establish the Center for Evaluation of Clean Energy Technology (CeCeT), a consortium of academic institutions and private organisations dedicated to providing commercialisation assistance, testing, and evaluation services.

David holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Rochester, an International MBA from the University of Kansas and an M.S. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Clarkson University.

Bogdan holds an HBSc. in Economics and Psychology from the University of Toronto.

Patrick Kim

Director of New Market Development

Patrick is an expert in energy transition with over 10 years of experience in solar generation projects. His experience spans across project origination, development, contract negotiation, design, finance, construction, and asset management.

Prior to BW Solar, Patrick worked as an operations lead for Con Edison Development managing over 600 MWac of utility-scale solar projects in ERCOT and PJM. He played a key role in digitalising the energy value chain to implement machine learning, neural networks, AI solutions for data driven decision making.

Patrick holds a BA in Political Science and English Literature from the University of Michigan and a Masters in Energy from Columbia University.

Jared Sproule

Director of Solar Development

Jared has over 11 years in the renewable energy industry and has experience in project development, business development, community engagement, and permitting of wind, solar, hydro and transmission in North America.

Prior to BW Solar, Jared worked as a Renewable Site Developer with TransAlta Corporation and Right of Way Planner with AltaLink Management Ltd. He has developed, planned and contributed to the construction of hundreds of megawatts of renewables projects and various transmission projects.

Jared most recently led Business Development and Community Relations at BluEarth Renewables.  His focus was on establishing Community and Indigenous Partnerships and the project development and permitting of wind, solar, hydro and storage projects across Canada and the United States. Jared has experience leading various procurement responses, negotiating power purchase agreements and providing project proposals for various commercial and industrial clients.

Jared holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Calgary.

Grant Johns

Solar/Storage Developer

Grant is an industry leader in renewable energy, energy storage, and large-scale power systems. He has led the engineering, procurement and construction of many utility-scale solar projects and over 65 MWhs of battery energy storage systems (BESS), including Canada’s largest BESS facility and the world’s first at a nuclear power plant.

Prior to BW Solar, Grant worked at several companies in the power industry as an electrician, technologist, engineer, project manager, and director of engineering. His varied experience equips him with an unparalleled understanding of the project cycle and its intricacies.

Grant holds a BSc. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems from the University of Western Ontario.

Mayur Agarwal

Strategic Finance

Mayur is a seasoned infrastructure investment professional. He has 10 years of experience screening, analysing and structuring investment opportunities specific to power projects, including Coal, Hydro, Solar and Storage. Mayur has evaluated over 2 billion dollars USD in investments across every continent.

Mayur holds a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Mumbai and a Masters of Business Administration from N.L. Dalmia Institute.

Caleb Lemoine

Solar Developer

Caleb has over 8 years in land acquisition and development and is excited to continue increasing the use of clean energy around the world.  He has led teams of developers in the renewable and oil & gas industries across the United States.

Caleb brings a well-rounded set of skills, including strategic planning, abstracting, quality control and contract negotiation.  He thoroughly enjoys in-home meetings with landowners to build long-lasting relationships while supporting communities to reduce air pollution, water pollution, and greenhouse gases. Prior to his career as a Land Consultant, Caleb managed over $130M in assets for an investment company in North Carolina.

Caleb holds a Bachelors of Science degree from North Carolina State University.

Michael Lewis

Solar Developer

Michael has more than 9 years of experience in the United States energy sector and focuses on solar development and public relations.  Most recently leading renewable energy generation and storage projects, his experience includes project management, due diligence, acquisition and siting. He is passionate about renewable energy, continuing education, and interpersonal relations. Michael’s genuine, positive engagement helps individuals and communities to take advantage of solar energy’s many benefits.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the State University of New York.

Dan Huntington

Project Developer

Dan has more than 5 years of experience in municipal planning, permitting, and development at the town, county, and state levels throughout NYS. With a passion for developing socially-conscience renewable projects, Dan gathers strong stakeholder support in the public and private sectors, leveraging his previous experience running a nonprofit organisation and marketing experiences at Fortune 500 companies.

To date, Dan has developed a portfolio of over 150 MW in CDG and Battery Storage projects in NYS.

Ali Rodrian

Project Developer

Ali Rodrian is a Project Developer of BW Solar. She has over 10 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on understanding environmental constraints and permitting the development of utility-scale wind and solar in North America. Ali holds a Bachelors Degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky.

Carl Siebing

Senior Project Developer

Closing in on a decade in the renewables industry, Carl has successfully driven the development of solar projects through local, state, and federal permitting. He also managed TSO/ISO/RTO relations and processes, with a commitment to building mutually beneficial relationships throughout. Highly capable of identifying and minimising risk, he has extensive experience overseeing transactional relationships, NTP/COD Due Diligence, M&A, and title issues.

Previously, Carl had conducted portfolio development across all workstreams of 140MWac Community Solar projects and 250MWac utility-Scale solar projects. He had successfully navigated through the full width of procedural, legal, practical, and technical challenges over the years. In total, Carl had managed projects that had an estimated worth of $400M and conducted tax investor Due Diligence on $900M portfolios.

Carl holds an MBA from Illinois Institute of Technology, USA, and an MSc. in Peace & Conflict Studies from Uppsala University, Sweden.

Adam Ellis

Director of Real Estate

Adam Ellis brings over twelve years of experience in a wide variety of energy development areas, including renewable energy, natural gas services, customer service, people development, management, negotiation, sales, and training. His speciality in development encompasses solar, wind, oil, gas, coal, and limestone.

Prior to joining BW Solar, Adam developed a pipeline of over 400MW of solar throughout the New England territories in both utility-scale and community solar. Having worked across the United States, Adam is an expert on engaging landowners, developers, financiers, and municipalities to bring clean energy to a full circle.
