SINGAPORE / GERMANY – 7 November 2023 – BW Water Pte. Ltd. (“BW Water”), a joint-venture of BW Group Limited, has successfully completed the acquisition of the business of H+E Pharma GmbH and S-Tec GmbH along with the business premises in Klipphausen near Dresden through an asset deal (collectively “S-Tec Facility”). This acquisition further strengthens BW Water’s European presence and capabilities.
S-Tec Facility is an established plant manufacturer founded in 2006 with a proven track record in fabrication, assembly, and maintenance services in Europe. Located in Silicon Saxony, Europe’s largest semiconductor cluster, S-Tec Facility provides assembly services for water treatment systems and builds customised plants for diverse industries. The S-Tec Facility premises comprise a state-of-the-art production facility and offices spanning over 2,800m2, equipped with a modern machinery and tool park, with further expansion capability. To date, S-Tec Facility has realised over 600 projects, most of them in the semiconductor industry. H+E Pharma, with its focus on the life science industry, has a considerable number of over 100 references with well-known customers in this sector.
Since its inception in 2019, BW Water has significantly increased its revenue, with a current order book of over US$100 million and a strong core business pipeline in Southeast Asia. Following its integration into BW Water, S-Tec Facility will be rebranded under the BW Water brand. The acquisition of S-Tec Facility marks BW Water’s continued global expansion, on the back of BW Water’s first strategic acquisition last month with SafBon Water Technologies Inc in USA, to expand its water and wastewater treatment solutions with desalination competencies.
Thomas Will, MD of BW Water GmbH and COO of BW Water shared, “Dresden is an important centre for investment in Europe’s semiconductor industry. S-Tec has built a sterling reputation in this industry with almost 20 years of experience, with a good track record in engineering, pre-assembly, assembly, and onsite services. With this acquisition, BW Water will expand beyond offering onsite services, into offering a full range of services as a full-service provider, especially for demanding sectors such as the semiconductor industry.”
Matthew White, CEO of BW Water says, “The strategic asset acquisition of S-Tec Facility will strengthen BW Water’s presence in Europe and reinforce our global presence as a full-service water treatment solutions provider for new markets. Combined with our recent acquisition of SafBon Water Technology Inc USA, these collectively unlock synergy within the group, empowering us to provide comprehensive water and wastewater solutions across the entire water value-chain for various industries, particularly the pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries. We are focused on enhancing value for our customers, with innovative solutions for a sustainable tomorrow.”
