Nationalities represented
BW LNG has a diverse team that reflects our global presence. Currently, we have employees from over 29 nationalities, and we welcome more to join our multinational workforce.
Human Rights
BW is committed to meeting its responsibility to respect human rights and decent working conditions and to upholding human rights throughout all its business operations, regardless of the countries in which they are conducted. Furthermore, consistent with its governing principles, BW anticipates full compliance with these standards from all entities and partners within its supply chain.
BW supports internationally recognised human rights standards, including those set out in the International Bill of Human Rights and the International Labour Organisation Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. BW firmly opposes human slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, child labour and torture. BW also embraces a Zero-Harm safety vision, through which it strives to create the safest work environment possible for every employee, both onshore and at sea.
In addition, BW complies with applicable laws and regulations in the countries in which it operates, including the Norwegian Transparency Act (NTA). Implemented by Norway in 2022. the NTA requires companies that meet certain threshold requirements to comply with fundamental human rights, implement decent working conditions throughout their supply chain and report on such to their stakeholders. In response to this legislative movement and to ensure continued alignment with its corporate values, BW has reviewed the approach it takes towards human rights in its own operations and supply chain.
